What is Registered Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a health care profession that specializes in human movement and function, especially as it relates to injury, illness, or disability. Our approach to your healing is individualized, one-on-one and hands-on in nature, with the most common goals being to eliminate pain, improve function and optimize performance. This is achieved with a treatment plan that addresses the root cause of the condition.

What to expect from your Active Living Physiotherapy Appointment
At your first visit you will spend 45 mins with your Physiotherapist. During this time, you can expect:
A detailed history of your current concerns as well as your overall health.
A physical examination of the affected area.
Some physical testing to help determine other factors that are contributing to your symptoms.
Measurement of current function and symptoms to enable tracking of progress.
Consultation on your goals and commitment to the rehab process.
The development of a focused treatment plan considering all your needs and abilities.
A detailed review of what you need to do between appointments to get the best results.
Treatment begins on day one.
