I I was born and raised in Kelowna, so when it came time to choose where to start my practice Kelowna was the obvious choice.I attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2004. I then went on to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon where I graduated with honours in 2008.
I have a passion for learning and frequently attend seminars to broaden my knowledge and advance my skills; I consider myself a lifelong student who has dedicated herself to learning the most innovative techniques in Chiropractic and Soft Tissue Therapies. I currently hold certification in Active Release Techniques® (ART), Graston Technique®, Class IV Laser therapy, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Range Release (FR) and Kinesiotape® Technique. I blend these techniques along with traditional Chiropractic to create the most effective treatment plans I can provide my patients.
I work with a variety of patients including recreational and elite athletes, as well as the non-athletic looking for short and long term strategies to pain resolution and improved function. I see patients for acute and chronic conditions, and I have a special interest and knowledge in sports and athletic injuries. When possible I incorporate movement based care for optimal health and performance. My new role as a mom has also sparked an interest in the pediatric field; I have taken courses to broaden my knowledge and training in this area and I am really enjoining working with babies and kids.
My friends and family have always encouraged an active lifestyle. When I’m not in the clinic you can catch me practicing yoga, Pilates, cycling, golfing, out on the lake, up at the ski hill, or out for a run with our dog Billie. I also enjoy cheering my kids on in their activities and interests. My husband Paul and I are proud parents to our beautiful daughters, Sadie and Ellie.
